01The Challenge

A growing UK logistics startup was coordinating projects across spreadsheets, email threads, and three separate tools. Project status was always out of date, milestones slipped without anyone noticing until it was too late, and managers spent hours each week manually compiling progress reports. They needed a single platform that showed the real state of every project, in real time, without anyone having to update a spreadsheet.

02What We Built

We designed and built a real-time project dashboard from the ground up. Milestones, tasks, and team activity sync live across every connected client using WebSocket connections backed by Redis pub/sub. Team velocity metrics are computed automatically from actual task completion data — no manual estimates. The platform integrates directly with the tools the team already used, pulling deployment status from their CI pipeline so technical progress is visible to non-technical managers.

03How We Delivered It

We ran a two-week Discovery Sprint to map the workflows that mattered and cut everything that didn't. The MVP shipped to production in six weeks with the core dashboard, real-time sync, and the two integrations the team used daily. We then iterated in two-week sprints based on real usage data, adding velocity metrics and automated reporting once the foundation was proven with real users.

04The Outcome

The platform now serves over 5,000 active users with 99.9% uptime. Weekly status meetings were cut in half because the answers were already on the dashboard. Project delivery is 40% faster, measured against the six months before adoption — primarily because slipping milestones are now visible the day they slip, not at the end of the month.
